Commemorate VE Day with an Evening of Reflection and Song

As part of the 80th anniversary of VE Day, join us on Friday evening for a peaceful and uplifting community gathering at the Totton & Eling War Memorial.

Evening Programme:

  • 🔦 Lights of Peace Parade – 21:00 A reflective moment to honour those who served in WWII, featuring traditional oil lanterns known as the “Lamp Light of Peace.” Their ruby red glow represents the sacrifices made in war and the hope for peace.
  • 🎶 Songs for WWII & Tribute – 21:15 Join us for an uplifting community sing-along of classic wartime songs. Song sheets will be provided — or simply enjoy the music and soak up the atmosphere. Following this, all are invited to pause and participate in “The International Tribute” (a copy of this is shown below).
